On the initiative of the German and French ministries, the University of Strasbourg, jointly with the University of Paris-Saclay, the University of the Saar (Germany) and the Karlsruhe Institut für Technologie (Germany) is organizing from 24 to 31 August 2019 Franco-German summer school “Quantum Future | Academy ”.
Prof. Guido Pupillo is one of the main organizers of the school for the University of Strasbourg.
This academy will be held on four sites, in France and in Germany, and will allow Master students to discover the link between quantum sciences and the development of new technologies. It will also be an opportunity to create an international and interdisciplinary network of researchers, entrepreneurs, doctoral students and students, within the framework of Franco-German partnerships with the support of the Franco-German University (UFA-DFH).
30 selected students (15 from France and 15 from Germany) will benefit from the opportunity to discover the different possible fields of application of quantum sciences and will participate in seminars and round tables with experts in the field, visits to laboratories, meetings with industrialists, a “soft skills” workshop and net-working evenings.
The school is aimed at master students, scientific staff and industrialists. Participation is free.
